Eczema Association of Australasia
Brisbane
· Make a meaningful difference to the lives of Australians living with eczema.
· Lead a respected not-for-profit organisation through its next stage of growth and impact.
· Manage a capable team while building partnerships, delivering projects and strengthening community awareness.
The Organisation
The Eczema Association of Australasia (EAA) is Australia's leading national patient support organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people impacted by eczema.
For more than 30 years, EAA has provided trusted information, education, advocacy and support to individuals, families, carers and healthcare professionals across Australia. Through awareness campaigns, community engagement, professional partnerships and evidence-based resources, EAA plays a critical role in supporting people affected by eczema and increasing understanding of this common and often debilitating condition.
As the organisation continues to grow, EAA is seeking an experienced and capable Executive Officer to lead day-to-day operations, strengthen organisational performance, build strategic partnerships and help expand its reach and impact throughout Australia.
The Chance
This Executive Officer role will provide strong operational leadership while supporting continued organisational growth, sustainability and community impact.
Reporting directly to the EAA Committee, you will lead a team of approximately 4-5 staff members and be responsible for the successful day-to-day operation of the organisation.
You'll oversee project delivery, organisational performance, community engagement initiatives, corporate partnerships, fundraising activities, financial management and stakeholder relationships,
ensuring EAA continues to deliver valuable services to the eczema community.
Importantly, this is a hands-on leadership role. While you will contribute to organisational planning and growth initiatives, success in this position will come from your ability to execute, lead people, maintain strong partnerships, solve problems and ensure projects and priorities are delivered effectively.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
· Leading the day-to-day operations of EAA.
· Managing and developing the team.
· Building and maintaining corporate partnerships and sponsorship relationships.
· Supporting fundraising, revenue diversification and business development activities.
· Delivering organisational projects and awareness campaigns.
· Building relationships across healthcare, industry and community stakeholders.
· Supporting Committee decision-making through timely reporting and communication.
· Strengthening systems, processes and organisational capability.
· Growing awareness of EAA and increasing its impact across Australia.
About You
You are an experienced people leader who enjoys operating in a dynamic environment where your work delivers genuine community impact.
You combine strong operational management capability with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and are comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
You'll bring:
- Demonstrated experience leading operational functions within a not-for-profit, health, community or member-based organisation.
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams.
- Strong project management and implementation capability.
- Experience building and maintaining external partnerships and stakeholder relationships.
- Commercial acumen and experience supporting organisational growth, sponsorships, fundraising or business development activities.
- Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with Boards, Committees or governance groups.
- A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach.
- A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for people living with chronic health conditions and their families.
Experience within the health, medical, patient advocacy or member-services sectors will be highly regarded.
Your Reward
Why join EAA?
- Salary package of $120,000 - $140,000 plus Superannuation.
- Opportunity to lead a nationally recognised organisation with a meaningful purpose.
- Flexible work arrangements.
- Opportunity to shape the next stage of EAA's growth and impact.
- Meaningful work that directly improves the lives of Australians living with eczema.
