Boilermaker/Fitter – Workshop and On-Site Work (Dandenong South)
We are seeking an experienced Boilermaker/Fitter for a hands-on role involving workshop fabrication and on-site work. The position offers full-time hours on a casual basis, with a view to permanent full-time employment for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out welding and fabrication work in the workshop and on-site.
Read and interpret engineering drawings.
Assist with mechanical fitting, assembly and general workshop tasks.
Operate manual lathes and milling machines for machining and component preparation, where required and within your experience.
Check completed work for accuracy and quality.
Follow safe work practices and maintain an organised work area.
Work flexibly across different jobs and support the wider workshop team.
Skills and Experience
Proven boilermaking and welding experience.
Robust mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
Ability to work accurately from engineering drawings.
Fitting and assembly experience with strong attention to detail.
Experience operating manual lathes and milling machines is preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable attendance and a robust commitment to safety.
Qualifications
Trade qualification in boilermaking or metal fabrication, or equivalent relevant experience.
Relevant welding certifications are desirable.
White Card for in office work.
Pay: $50.00 – $53.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 38.0 per week
