Male Disability Support Worker – Child & Autism Support | Bulleen
$40–$50 per hour | Immediate Start | Ongoing Role with Growing Hours
Anchor & Aim is looking for an experienced male Disability Support Worker to support a 7-year-old child with Level 3 Autism in Bulleen.
This is a long-term opportunity that will start gradually, giving the child and support worker time to build familiarity, trust and rapport.
Initial hours
Approximately 6 hours per week, which can be structured around the right candidate as either:
3 × 2-hour shifts, or
2 × 3-hour shifts
We can be versatile with days and structure for the right person.
Robust potential for more hours
The initial hours are just the starting point.
As rapport builds and the match works well, there is solid potential for the hours to increase, including additional weekday hours and Sunday work.
We are looking for someone who wants to build a consistent,
long-term relationship with the child rather than simply pick up occasional shifts.
The role includes
Building trust and rapport with the child.
Supporting routines and daily living.
Personal care.
Meaningful engagement and play.
Community participation and outings.
Supporting emotional regulation and behaviours of concern.
Providing calm, consistent and reliable support.
Pay
$40–$50 per hour, depending on experience and engagement arrangement.
