THE VOLT CAFE WONTHAGGI is looking for an experienced and passionate Full time Chef to join our growing

cafe team. We are seeking someone who is reliable, organised, and passionate about delivering high-quality food

and excellent kitchen service in a fast-paced cafe environment.

Position Details
Position: Full-Time Chef
Salary: $75,000 – $80,000 per year
Location: Wonthaggi, Victoria
Work Type: Full Time

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook breakfast, brunch, and cafe-style meals to a high standard
Assist in menu preparation and weekly specials
Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen and workstations
Monitor food stock levels and assist with ordering and stock rotation
Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health standards




Work efficiently during busy service periods
Assist in reducing food wastage and maintaining kitchen efficiency
Support team members and contribute to a positive workplace culture

Skills & Experience
Previous experience working as a chef in a cafe or hospitality environment
Ability to work in a rapid-paced kitchen
Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations
Good time management and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible availability including weekends
