You'll have heard what happens to a lot of current graduates. You finish three years registered to restore teeth for adults and children, and your first job turns out to be eight hours of scaling. Nobody set out to waste the degree. The practice just never worked out what to do with it.

That's the job we're not offering.

Your first three months

Longer appointments than the roster will eventually settle at, and nobody counting how many patients you got through. For what it's worth, the settled version is forty to fifty minutes for an adult preventive maintenance appointment, not thirty.

A sit-down every fortnight to go through charting, radiographs and treatment planning together, and we keep doing it until you'd rather we stopped.

A dentist available, who expects to be asked. Asking is the job in your first year, not a sign you're struggling.

What we'll expect back is that you ask when you're unsure, and that you don't let something slide because you're worried about looking green.

Then the rest of it

Your scope is your scope. We'll work out together what restorative work you take on and when, and the answer gets more generous as you get more confident. You won't be a hygienist with a broader degree.





An established book of patients who came in for prevention and stayed for it, so you're not building from nothing. Guided Biofilm Therapy with EMS Airflow as our standard workflow, which also means less hand scaling, and your neck will thank you in ten years.

Independent, owner-operated, one site. No head office, nobody with a daily number to hit, and the owner is in the chair four days a week.

The details

Start in January, or as soon as your Ahpra registration is confirmed. Finish your exams first, then we'll pick a date. You won't be waiting on a March intake to get started.

Two days a week to start, growing as your book does. Set days, agreed up front. Above award, paid fortnightly. We'd rather talk about pay properly and early than reduce it to a range in an ad.
