Premium Direct Vehicle Import Sales
Geelong / Melbourne – Hybrid & Remote | Full-Time
View Talent is partnering with an established automotive business that is expanding its direct-to-consumer vehicle import operation in Australia.
Our client is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Salesperson to join the team.
This is a unique role selling vehicles eligible for import into Australia, sourced directly from Japan – from premium, high-value vehicles through to a range of more affordable options.
With the broader team based internationally, you'll work with a high degree of autonomy and trust, guiding a high-end, cash-ready clientele through a specialised sales cycle.
About the Role
• Direct sales correspondence – respond promptly to enquiries and nurture leads over days, weeks and sometimes months, maintaining a confident, objective and professional rapport so clients know they're in skilled, trusted hands.
• Pipeline management – use CRM software to track leads, schedule follow-up calls and make sure no opportunity slips through the cracks.
• Vehicle sourcing – act on the customer's behalf to purchase vehicles directly from wholesale auctions in Japan, assessing condition and quality and staying across current import regulations.
• Pricing & compliance – maintain an accurate, up-to-date price list of Japanese vehicles eligible for import under current regulations.
• Post-sale logistics – oversee the 2–3 month post-sale process, keeping customers updated as their vehicle moves smoothly and safely from Japan to Australia.




• Marketing support – assist with the marketing and digital promotion of available vehicles to attract the right buyers and keep the pipeline flowing.
About You
• 2–3 years' direct sales experience (retail or B2B), ideally within the new or used automotive industry
• Proven ability to close high-end, cash-paying buyers
• Experience using a modern CRM
• Solid attention to detail, with a track record of keeping accurate records, managing task and client lists, and executing on time
• Solid understanding of the Australian used car market, plus a real interest in Japanese automotive culture (JDM, classic and luxury vehicles)
• Sound mechanical and functional vehicle knowledge – able to assess the condition of a used car and explain mechanical, cosmetic and functional details to clients
• Highly responsible and self-directed, comfortable managing your own day-to-day while joining daily remote catch-ups with management
Desirable
• Previous experience in the vehicle import/export sector
• Japanese language skills (welcome, but not required)
