Hindmarsh is looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join the team delivering a major $80M community & sporting project in Western Sydney.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a significant project that will create recent facilities for the local community, while building your experience across the technical, design and delivery aspects of a large-scale construction project.
Working closely with the Project Manager, Design Manager and site team, you'll take ownership of key construction packages and play an important role in coordinating consultants, subcontractors and technical requirements to keep the project moving.
As a Project Engineer at Hindmarsh, you will be responsible for:
Coordinating key construction packages and technical activities on site
Working closely with the design and site teams to resolve technical and constructability issues
Coordinating consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to achieve project milestones
Developing scopes of work and supporting the procurement and tendering of subcontract packages
Managing RFIs, shop drawings, technical submissions and project documentation
Managing subcontractors and service suppliers to achieve program, quality and safety requirements
Coordinating ITPs, hold points, samples and quality assurance processes
Monitoring construction against drawings, specifications, codes and project requirements
Supporting project programming and monitoring progress against key milestones
Proactively identifying and resolving quality and technical issues
Supporting and mentoring Site Engineers and Cadets within the project team
We are looking for team members who have:
4+ years' experience in project engineering within commercial construction




Experience working on large-scale construction projects, ideally $20M+
A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent
Strong technical construction knowledge and an understanding of Australian construction standards and codes
Experience coordinating subcontractors, consultants and site teams
Strong problem-solving, communication and organisational skills
Experience using Aconex, MS Project or similar construction software
