About the Role:

nWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our client's small and agile team.n
nThis itinerant role will focus on providing professional engineering services across mining,n
ncontainer handling, and heavy industry sectors.n
nYour primary responsibility will involve engineering management and equipment compliancen
nauditing---spanning mining operations, container terminals, and heavy earthmoving equipment.n
nYou will collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, mining companies, container terminaln
noperators, and equipment OEMs to ensure safety compliance and operational excellence.n
nThis role offers a unique opportunity to work across diverse heavy industry environments whilen
nadvancing asset management and reliability improvement methodologies. Self-motivation,n
nstrong technical expertise, and willingness to travel are essential.n

Key Responsibilities:
n
nDevelop and review engineering management and safety management system coordinationn
nConduct equipment compliance auditing to Australian and International Standardsn
nPerform ongoing inspection and reporting of critical infrastructure including containern
n cranesn
nLead technological improvement projects and small works packagesn
nDevelop equipment specifications and support asset management projectsn
nProvide onsite engineering support, relief work, and statutory engineering coveragen
nCreate budget estimates and project scoping for engineering initiativesn
nFacilitate and review risk assessments across multiple client sitesn
nSupport mobile and fixed equipment procurement processesn

Qualifications:
n
nMinimum 5+ years' experience in electrical works (combination of industrial trade andn
n engineering)n
nExpertise in heavy industry electrical systems (mining and container handlingn
n equipment)n
nDiploma to Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineeringn
nDemonstrated knowledge of WHS legislation and Australian Standards for heavyn
n industryn
nExperience with 3+ years of mine site or container terminal (port) operationsn
nProject management and supervision experience with budget and schedulen
n developmentn
nStrong interpersonal communication and technical report writing skillsn
nMust be eligible for MSIC clearance and able to pass drug/alcohol and police checksn
Highly Regarded Additional Qualifications:

nPracticing certificate – Electrical Engineer (Under WHS Mines and Petroleum Sitesn
n Regulation ****)n
nCPEng, NER and/or RPEQ certificationsn
nAsset management software experiencen
nReliability investigations and defect management expertisen
nSite engineering experience (underground, open-cut, or fixed plant processing)n
