n We are a leading Australian Food Manufacturing facility in the Northern suburbs seeking a Maintenance
n Fitter to service and maintain onsite food equipment and machinery. The applicant must be reliable with
n a robust work ethic.

About the Role
n
n As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be part of the Maintenance Team. The Maintenance Team provides
n support to the Maintenance Operations Manager and Production team by providing quality and efficient
n maintenance services during planned maintenance, breakdowns, and the installation of new plant and
n equipment.
n
n You will work 7 hours and 36 minutes per day, and your hours of work will range between 5 AM and 5 PM.
n
n • Start Up and Shut Down of plant equipment
n • Preventative Maintenance
n • Corrective Maintenance
n • Breakdown Resolution
n
n • Forklift ticket, hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge an advantage but not necessary
n • Equipment Training coaching and support to Engineering team members
n • Supporting Equipment research & procurement
n • Full -time position, immediate start
n • An appropriate trade qualification
n • Previous experience within the food manufacturing industry an advantage
n • Complete regular machine service and repairs on bakery equipment as part of a planned
n maintenance schedule.
n • Sheet metal fabrication, good welding skills
n
n • General mechanical fault finding
n
n • Carry out all work safely in accordance with company OHS requirements, adhere to GMP and
n HACCP guidelines
n • Proven self -motivation and ability to work well in a team or autonomous
n • Check operator daily pre -op forms daily and carry out rectification works required
n • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance checks on plant and equipment
n • Respond to breakdowns immediately
n • Find and fix faults
n • Determine plant & equipment's condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests and
n identifying worn and damaged parts
n • Correct plant defects
n • Verify plant & equipment performance
n • Repair and maintain hydraulic systems

Requirements
You will have the following skills and experience:
n
n • Qualified fitter - Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering
n • 3 years + experience in a similar role and industry
n • Experienced in pneumatic, hydraulics, and MIG welding
n • Stainless welding experience would be highly regarded but not essential
n • Experience with high -speed production machines desirable
n • Complete preventative maintenance tasks and report on the condition of plant equipment
n • A willingness to work in all areas/types of maintenance is a necessity
n • Strong experience in problem solving, fault -finding, and diagnosing
n • Forklift license
n • Ability to work in a team environment
n • Must be able to work unsupervised
n • A sound understanding of safe work practices
n • Understanding of GMP and Food Safety
n • Reliability and commitment to shifts
n • Availability to work weekends and shift work - days and nights
n • Attention to detail
n • FMCG experience
n
n • Basic computer skill
