Forklift Driver
to assist with the setup of a major
Gymnastics Event
in
Parkville, VIC
.

This is a hands-on event setup role involving forklift operation, equipment movement and general labouring. You will be responsible for safely unloading and transporting equipment from containers to the venue, positioning gym equipment inside the arena, and assisting with manual handling duties as required.

nABOUT THE ROLE n
n
This role is ideal for a
skilled forklift operator
who is physically fit, reliable and comfortable working in a rapid-paced event environment.
n
n
While forklift operation will be a key part of the role, there will be periods when you are not required to operate the forklift. During these times, you will be expected to assist as a
General Labourer
, including manual handling and moving event equipment.
n
nKEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES n
n
n
n
Safely operate a forklift during event setup and pack-up activities
n
n
Unload equipment,



trolleys and pallets from containers
n
n
Transport equipment safely through designated pathways and into the venue
n
n
Position and relocate gym equipment within the arena
n
n
Assist with loading, unloading and general event setup activities
n
n
Perform manual handling and general labouring duties when not operating the forklift
n
n
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
n
n
Work cooperatively with the event setup team to ensure the job is completed efficiently and safely
n
n
n
nSKILLS & REQUIREMENTS n
n
n
n
Current
Forklift Licence (LF)
required
n
n
Previous forklift operating experience preferred
n
n
Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling duties throughout the shift
n
n
Comfortable lifting and moving gymnastics/event equipment
n
n
Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions
n
n
Strong awareness of workplace health and safety
n
n
Comfortable working as both a forklift operator and general labourer
n
n
Previous event setup, warehouse or logistics experience will be highly regarded
n
n
n
