Job Description
· Manage project operations in
n accordance with project directives and deliverables
n

· Ensure site WHS is maintained at all
n times
n
n
· Participate in bid process as
n directed, provide constructability, programming and project implementation
n strategies for inclusion within the bid submission
n
n
· Provide oversight and guidance on
n trade package scoping
n
n
· Identification of areas of risk and
n opportunities in each tender
n
n
· Monitoring of cost plans and
n practical cost saving design solutions for execution by design consultant
n
n
· Liaise with the Site Manager to
n ascertain any design errors, omissions and ambiguity for follow up and
n resolution with the relevant authority
n
n
· Liaise with the Contracts
n Administrator and Contracts Manager to assist in the development of commercial
n strategy
n
n
· In conjunction with the Site Manager
n develop and monitor construction programs and liaise with the Construction
n Manager / Contracts Manager highlighting areas of progress or deficiency
n
n
· Ensure records are kept relating to
n and maintain contact and communication with clients, consultants,
n subcontractors, suppliers and local authorities
n
n
· Identification of areas of risk and
n opportunities in the project and in each trade package for resolution with the
n Contracts Administrator
n
n
· Participate in the selection and
n recommendation of subcontractors, the letting of the subcontracts and items
n relative to market forces
n
n




· Assist the Site Manager as required
n to coordinate subcontractor planning to ensure adherence to project completion
n program and minimise operational conflicts
n
n
· Manage and approve material
n procurement in accordance with the Project Authority Matrix
n
n
· In consultation with the Site Manager
n assess plant and labour resource requirements for the project and communicate
n recommendations to Construction Manager
n
n
· Assist the Site Manager to develop
n processes for deficient areas as work progresses.
n

Requirementsn
Minimum level of
knowledge/skills/training
required to carry out
n the job:
n
n
· Minimum of 15 years in the construction or
n civil industry with senior level experience on major projects
n
n
· Recognised relevant qualification or
n minimum of 15 years in the construction or civil industry with senior level experience
n on major projects o Minimum of 10 years in estimating, administration and
n project management o Or other relevant qualification o Or other relevant
n industry experience
n
n
· Complete understanding of: o
n Construction or civil materials and methods o Management skills
n
n
· Project programming experience
n
n
· Sound contract administration
n
n
· Excellent time management, personnel
n management and organisational skills
n
n
· WHS for Supervisors
n
n
· Nationally Recognised Construction
n Induction

· Drivers Licence
