nWe are partnering with a highly regarded accounting firm that is experiencing continued growth and is looking to add a motivated Intermediate Accountant to its Business Services & Tax team.n

nThe Role Working closely with experienced Managers and Partners, you will gain exposure to a diverse client portfolio while further developing your technical and advisory skills.n
nYour responsibilities will include:n
n
n
Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs
n
Exposure to a broad range of taxation matters including GST, CGT, FBT and Division 7A
n
Assisting with tax planning and tax advisory matters
n
Maintaining client asset registers, reconciliations and adjusting journals
n
Liaising directly with clients, the ATO and other external stakeholders
n
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
n
Working closely with senior team members on complex client matters
n
Assisting with workflow management and meeting compliance deadlines
n
Supporting and mentoring junior team members where required
n
Identifying opportunities to add value to clients and contribute to business growth
n
About You To be successful in this role, you will possess:n
n
n
Degree qualified in Accounting
n
CA or CPA qualified,
or currently studying towards completion
n
2-4 years of Australian public practice experience
n
Strong understanding of business services and taxation compliance
n
Experience using Xero and Class Super
n
Handisoft experience will be highly regarded
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
Strong organisational and time management abilities
n
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
n
Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship
n
