A leading national law firm is looking to appoint a Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join its high-performing Workplace Relations & Safety team in Melbourne.

The Opportunity
n
You'll work closely with highly regarded senior lawyers on a broad mix of workplace relations, employment, and safety matters. The team acts for a diverse client base, including corporates, insurers, and government bodies.
n
Your work will span:
n

n
Industrial relations and enterprise bargaining
n
n
Workplace health & safety matters and regulatory compliance
n
n
Employment disputes, including unfair dismissal and general protections
n
n
Workplace investigations
n
n
Advisory work across employment aspects of commercial transactions
n
n
n
You'll have the prospect to run your own matters while also collaborating on larger, complex files.
n
n
About You
n
n
n
n
5+ years' post-admission experience (flexible for the right candidate)
n
n
Strong experience in employment, industrial relations, and/or safety law
n
n
Ability to manage both contentious and non-contentious matters
n
n
Commercially minded with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
n
n
Confident communicator with solid drafting ability
n
n
For more senior candidates: an interest in mentoring and developing junior lawyers
