General Physicians / General Medicine Specialists to join their well-established and expanding Department of Medicine.
n

This is an outstanding opportunity for local trained or UK‐trained consultants (or those close to CCT) seeking a high‐quality healthcare environment, excellent lifestyle, and a smooth transition into the Australian specialist pathway.

Eligibility – Australian, New Zealand or UK GMC-Trained Specialists with :
n
n
To meet Australian Medical Council expedited pathway, applicants
must meet one of the following UK training routes:
n
Route A — General Internal Medicine (GIM)
n
n
You must have:
n
n
n
n
MRCP (UK) awarded
August **** onwards
n
n
Full UK postgraduate training completed
n
n
Awarded UK CCT in General Internal Medicine
n
n
Completed entire specialty training within the UK system
n
n
Route B — Dual Training (GIM + Acute Internal Medicine)
n
n
You must have:
n
n
n
n
MRCP (UK) awarded
August **** onwards
n
n
Completion of full UK dual training programme
n
n
CCT in General Internal Medicine and Acute Internal Medicine
n
n
Entire postgraduate training completed within the UK
n
n
n
These pathways align with AHPRA Specialist Recognition processes and are suitable for doctors aiming for
Specialist Registration in Australia.

About the Role
n
n
As a Staff Specialist in General Medicine, you will:
n
n
n
n
Provide inpatient and outpatient general medicine services




n
n
Participate in the acute and on‐call roster (negotiable)
n
n
Work within a multi‐disciplinary team with solid sub specialty support
n
n
Contribute to registrar, SHO and medical student teaching
n
n
Participate in service improvement, clinical governance and leadership
n
n
Work within an RACP‐accredited training environment
n
n
n
The Department hosts physicians with subspecialty interests including Cardiology, Infectious Diseases, Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Respiratory, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Geriatrics and Palliative Care.
n
Salary & Benefits

AUD $216,300 – $310,389 per annum, plus:
