Applied Air Solutions is looking for a
3rd or 4th Year Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Apprentice
to join our growing team based in
Hallam, VIC
.
n
If you're getting towards the end of your apprenticeship and want
more exposure, more variety and the opportunity to develop into a confident, well-rounded refrigeration mechanic

We're a close-knit team working across a wide variety of
commercial and residential HVAC and refrigeration systems throughout Melbourne
. No two days are exactly the same – you'll get hands-on experience across servicing, maintenance, breakdowns, repairs, fault finding, installations and commissioning.

What you'll be doing n
As your experience develops, you'll be involved in:
n
Servicing and maintaining commercial and residential air conditioning and refrigeration systems
n




Fault finding and diagnosing mechanical, electrical and refrigeration issues
n
Breakdown and reactive service calls
n
Preventative and scheduled maintenance
n
Repairing and replacing components such as fan motors, valves, controls, PCBs and compressors
n
Refrigerant leak detection, repairs, evacuation, pressure testing and recharging
n
Air conditioning and refrigeration installations
n
Testing and commissioning equipment
n
Completing service reports and job documentation
n
Communicating with customers and working alongside our technicians
n
You won't be expected to know everything.
We're looking for someone with a solid foundation who is keen to learn, improve their diagnostic skills and become a great refrigeration mechanic.
About you n
You'll ideally be:
n
Currently completing your
3rd or 4th year Refrigeration & Air Conditioning apprenticeship
n
Reliable, motivated and willing to learn
n
Comfortable working both independently
within your level of competency
and alongside other technicians
n
Interested in fault finding and developing your diagnostic skills
n
Someone who takes pride in their workmanship and presentation
n
Friendly and confident communicating with customers
n
Organised and able to manage your day
n
Holder of a
current Australian driver's license
n
Holder of a
White Card
n
