This is a rare opportunity for an experienced
Commercial & Plant Asset Manager
to take ownership of a substantial fleet and equipment portfolio within a well-established WA business.
n
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you'll have the autonomy to drive strategic asset decisions, improve commercial performance, influence capital investment planning, and help grow a developing equipment hire operation.
n
This is not a traditional fleet management role. We're looking for a commercially focused leader who understands how assets generate value, can analyse performance, and has the vision to unlock new revenue opportunities.

Job Requirements & Key Responsibilities n
n
Lead the commercial management of a significant fleet of vehicles, plant and equipment.
n
Drive asset utilisation, profitability and return on investment across the portfolio.
n
Develop and implement fleet growth, replacement and capital expenditure strategies.
n
Analyse equipment performance, operating costs, utilisation rates and revenue generation.
n
Oversee asset acquisition, financing, disposal and replacement decisions.
n
Establish and review charge-out and plant hire rate structures.
n
Develop preventative maintenance and servicing programs.
n
Improve compliance, reporting systems, asset registers and operational processes.
n




Build solid relationships with suppliers, financiers, manufacturers and industry partners.
n
Identify opportunities to expand external plant and equipment hire activities.
n
Work closely with operational leaders to forecast future equipment requirements and support business growth.

About You n
n
Minimum 5 years' experience in Asset Management, Fleet Management or Plant Management.
n
Robust commercial and financial acumen with the ability to analyse asset performance and profitability.
n
Experience within civil construction, mining services, earthmoving, infrastructure or equipment hire environments.
n
Sound understanding of asset finance, purchasing and lifecycle management.
n
Experience developing hire rates, utilisation reporting and capital investment recommendations.
n
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
n
Ability to influence senior leadership and make commercially sound recommendations.
n
A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on business growth and continuous improvement.

Salary package of $180k – $220k + Super + Company Vehicle and tools of trade
