nAre you the technician others call when a fault gets difficult or a quote doesn't look right?n

nThis is a hands-on role for an experienced commercial Refrigeration Mechanic who already supports or leads other technicians. You'll supervise seven techs, resolve difficult faults and quotes, and make day-to-day decisions around priorities, customers and service work.n
n n
nThe employer is an established commercial HVAC business with approximately 30 people, turnover just under $10 million and around 2,000 clients. Average staff tenure is about seven years and this vacancy follows the retirement of the previous supervisor after approximately 15 years.n

nThe rolen
n• Technically support and supervise a capable, productive teamn
n• Attend sites when faults or quotes aren't straightforwardn
n• Check diagnoses, service quotations and repair-versus-replace decisionsn
n• Speak with clients, obtain approvals and keep work movingn
n• Reprioritise work and handle day-to-day service issuesn
n• Work across Melbourne CBD and the southeast, with about one flexible office day in Oakleighn
n n
nSystems include packaged units, ducted splits, VRF/VRV, chillers, boilers, BMS, essential services, stair pressurisation and car-park CO monitoring.n
n n
nWhat's on offern
n• $65/hr plus super, with flexibility for exceptional proven supervisory capabilityn
n• Ford Ranger dual-cab with service body, mobile phone and iPadn
n• RDOs | Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pmn
n• No compulsory on-calln
n• Direct-to-site work with schedules generally planned two to four weeks aheadn

nWhat you'll needn
n• Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigerationn
n• Current refrigerant-handling accreditation and Restricted Electrical Licencen
n• Strong commercial HVAC service and fault-finding experiencen
n• Previous supervisory or technical-leadership experiencen
n• Confidence preparing quotes and dealing with commercial clientsn
n• Current driver's licencen

nYou don't need to be an expert across every chiller, boiler and BMS system. Strong fault-finding, judgement and the ability to guide other technicians matter most.n
