· Authoring and deploying PowerShell DSC
n configurations for VM baseline enforcement; onboarding target VMs to
n Azure Automation State Configuration; drift detection, remediation and
n compliance reporting
n
· Azure Policy: Design and assignment of
n custom and built-in policy definitions across target subscriptions;
n remediation task configuration for non-compliant resources; policy exemption
n governance and documentation.
n
· Stakeholder engagement to map integration
n points,
upstream/downstream
dependencies, and any SLA or latency
n sensitivities that may influence the remediation approach
n
· Terraform: Design and build of Terraform
n modules for approved Azure resource types; state file management via Azure
n Storage backend; integration with existing naming conventions, tagging
n standards, and landing zone patterns
n
· Automation of all remediation changes
n using Terraform, with deployment orchestrated through Azure DevOps pipelines.
n
· Testing and validation of each remediated
n service to confirm connectivity, expected behavior, and firewall rule
n compliance post-change
n
· Documentation of the final-state
n architecture, DSC changes, design revision and runbooks for ongoing
n operational support
n
· Handover and knowledge transfer to the
n AustralianSuper Cloud Services team
n
• Develop standards,
n engineering patterns, DevOps policies and IaC modules.

• Set the standard
n approach project engineering teams will take in their infrastructure delivery
n work.

• Develop, deploy, and
n configure workloads to Microsoft Azure using Terraform in a DevOps
n workplace.
n
• Develop solution,
n detailed and functional design documents, ensuring designs are prepared in
n accordance with standards and guidelines.
n
• Develop, implement,
n and maintain monitoring and observability tools for managed environments.
n
• Engage in hands-on
n development to balance workload or address significant complexity through
n technical spike: build, test including non-functional areas like security,
n reliability, and performance.
n
• Review technical
n detail designs and ensure technical designs meet functional, resilience,
n security, reuse, and operational needs
n
• Collaborate with
n project/ BAU teams including architects, delivery squads, principal
n engineers, and project managers to meet the project technology and delivery
n objectives
n
• Design technology
n solutions to automate existing processes using DevOps.
n
• Contribute towards the
n Fund's central knowledge repository for design models and patterns.
n
• Provide technical
n leadership and ensure alignment of cloud solutions to target architecture,
n standards,



and best practices.

• Collaborate with other
n technology teams, assisting with the demands of operations as required, and
n empowering teams to enable reliability, resilience, and supportability of
n platforms
n
Essential:
n
n
• 8-10+ years' experience
n working in medium to large IT environments.
n
• 4 years working with Azure
n Public Cloud services designing and building cloud solutions using IaaS and
n PaaS services, with in depth understanding of cloud products and offerings.
• Cloud Service Proficiency:n
nIn-depth knowledge of Azure cloud platform. Understanding how to leveragen
ndifferent services for computing, storage, database management, and networkingn
nis crucial. n
n
• Experience developing and
n adopting DevSecOps strategy and ways-of-working.
n
• Hands on deploying
n applications and building infrastructure in cloud via Azure DevOps CI/CD
n deployment pipelines.
n
• Experience in scripting and
n automation: Skills in Python, PowerShell, Bash or similar.
n
• Hands on with
n Infrastructure-as-Code and experience provisioning resources using Terraform
n OSS.
n
• Knowledge of container
n frameworks, Docker and Kubernetes.
n
• Deep knowledge of running
n IaaS workloads and design/operation of Azure Backup and Azure Monitor for IaaS
n workloads.
• In-depth understanding ofn
nAzure policies and implementing them to enforce compliance, security, andn
ngovernance using a policy-as-code deployment modeln
