Key Responsibilities
n
n
Design, develop, configure, and implement ServiceNow ITOM
n solutions, including
Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management,
n CMDB, Cloud Discovery, and AIOps
.
n
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, and
n stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into
n technical solutions.
n
Configure and customize ServiceNow ITOM applications based on
n functional and technical specifications.
n
Develop and maintain Discovery schedules, patterns, probes,
n sensors, and MID Server configurations to ensure accurate infrastructure
n discovery.
n
Implement and support Service Mapping solutions for business
n services, applications, and infrastructure components.
n
Configure Event Management components, including event rules,
n alert correlation, alert aggregation, event transformations, operational
n intelligence, and remediation workflows.
n
Design and develop integrations between ServiceNow and
n enterprise tools such as
Splunk, Dynatrace, SolarWinds, Azure Monitor,
n AWS CloudWatch, AppDynamics, and other monitoring platforms
.
n
Develop custom applications, workflows, Flow Designer
n solutions, Script Includes, Business Rules, UI Policies, Client Scripts,
n and REST/SOAP integrations.
n
Support CMDB implementation and maintenance activities,
n including CI class creation, relationship mapping, identification and
n reconciliation rules, and data quality improvements.
n
Develop automation solutions using ServiceNow Orchestration,
n IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, and scripting frameworks.
n
Troubleshoot complex platform issues related to Discovery,
n Service Mapping, Event Management, integrations, and CMDB operations.
n
Create technical design documents, configuration guides,
n deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.
n




Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning,
n backlog refinement, code reviews, and release management activities.
n
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect resolution,
n production deployments, and hypercare activities.
n
Ensure platform performance, scalability, security, and
n adherence to ServiceNow development best practices.
n
Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, network, and
n application teams to improve service visibility and operational
n efficiency.
n
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers
n and implementation team members.
n
Support CMDB governance initiatives and continuous service
n improvement programs.
n
n
n
Required Skills & Experience
n
n
6-10 years of overall IT experience with 4+ years of hands-on
n ServiceNow development experience.
n
Solid experience with
ServiceNow ITOM modules
including
n Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and CMDB.
n
Expertise in JavaScript, ServiceNow scripting, Flow Designer,
n IntegrationHub, and Service Portal development.
n
Hands-on experience with MID Servers, Discovery Patterns,
n Probes, Sensors, and Service Mapping implementations.
n
Experience developing REST and SOAP integrations with external
n systems and monitoring tools.
n
Strong understanding of CMDB data models, CSDM, Identification
n and Reconciliation Engine (IRE), and CMDB governance.
n
Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and
n GCP.
n
Knowledge of infrastructure technologies including Windows,
n Linux, networking, virtualization, databases, and middleware platforms.
n
Familiarity with ITIL processes including Incident, Change,
n Problem, and Configuration Management.
n
Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies and
n DevOps practices.
n
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization
n skills.
n
