The Opportunity
ROUSSOS Recruitment is partnering with an established South Australian building contractor with a robust reputation for delivering quality commercial projects and building long-term client relationships.
With a diverse pipeline of work across education, retail, industrial and commercial construction, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to take ownership of project delivery.
Projects are typically valued at $5M+, providing the opportunity to work across a varied portfolio rather than being limited to one sector or project type.
You will join an experienced and team-oriented project team, with the support of an established business, strong systems and a solid pipeline of upcoming work.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of commercial construction projects from site establishment through to completion and handover.
Working closely with the Project Manager and broader project team, you will coordinate subcontractors, trades and suppliers while maintaining a strong focus on programme, safety, quality and productivity.
Key responsibilities will include:




Taking ownership of day-to-day site operations across $5M+ projects
Coordinating subcontractors, trades, suppliers and site personnel
Driving construction programmes, milestones and project outcomes
Managing site logistics, sequencing and coordination of works
Leading site meetings and coordinating daily construction activities
Maintaining high standards across WHS, quality and compliance
Monitoring progress and proactively resolving site issues
Managing inspections, defects and project close-out
Working closely with Project Managers, consultants and clients
Building strong, productive relationships with subcontractors and project stakeholders

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager who takes pride in delivering quality commercial projects and creating a well-run, professional site environment.
You will ideally bring:
Proven Site Management experience within commercial construction
Exposure to new build and/or fit-out projects
Proven ability to coordinate and manage subcontractors and trades
Sound knowledge of WHS, quality and compliance requirements
Valuable communication and stakeholder management skills
A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach
A genuine commitment to delivering quality project outcomes
Experience across education, retail, industrial or similar commercial projects will be highly regarded, although the key requirement is strong general commercial construction experience and the ability to successfully lead site delivery.
