This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated nurse to contribute to the success of a well-established and well loved hospital. We are seeking a skilled Surgical Nurse with anaesthesia skills to complete our specialist surgery team - and most importantly, make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and their families.

This is a Part-time role - 2 days a week. We provide the highest standard of nursing and patient care and we are seeking a qualified veterinary nurse to join our friendly, dynamic surgical team.
n
As a Surgery Vet Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Assist in pre-operative and post-operative care
n
Surgery Preparation & Theatre Nursing
n
Provide expert nursing care during complex surgical procedures, including anaesthesia and monitoring.
n
Carry out diagnostic tests
n
Collaborate with the surgical team, and all departments, to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow
n
Administer medications and follow established protocols
n
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
n
Provide education and support to patients and their families
n
Willingness to help the other department nurses when needed, which is integral to maintain a team atmosphere
n

About You:
n
n




Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification
n
Minimum of 3 years of experience in veterinary nursing
n
Strong knowledge of surgical nursing techniques and procedures
n
Proficient anaesthesia skills with the ability to monitor patients safely and effectively
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
n
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and client service
n
