About the role n
We are seeking a full time Fabricator to join our fabrication team in Campbellfield. The purpose of the position is to provide production support to the Workshop team by fabricating & welding assemblies from detailed shop drawings.
Key responsibilities n
n
Carry out welding, fabrication, and processing of steel products in the factory as directed by the Workshop Foreman & Production Manager in a secure and productive manner
n
Read & interpret detailed shop drawings and mark out steel
n
Undertake weld procedures and apply these to fabricated products
n
Welding of fabricated parts using GMAW & MMAW processes to in-house welding procedures in line with AS**** (CC3 accredited Fabricator)
n
Check and test work performed by themselves
n
Maintain tools and equipment in an efficient and safe operating condition
n
Material handling using overhead crane and forklift
n
Follow company HSE policies and procedures
n
About you n
n
Ability to work safely in a heavy steel fabrication environment
n
Competence in use of factory equipment
n
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
n
Be able to receive instructions and communicate in the English language
n
Ability to follow Quality procedures as they apply to AS/NZS **** and AS ****
n
