About the Role: PROTECH n
are currently seeking Trades Assistants to join a busy process driven workshop in George Town, TAS. This is a hands‐on role offering ongoing work within a safety‐focused environment, supporting fabrication, maintenance, and workshop operations. If you possess strong mechanical aptitude, enjoy working with tools, and thrive in a workshop environment, we want to hear from you.
Trade Assistant Key Responsibilities n
n
Production TA duties such as- Welding & Assisting Tradespeople where required
n
Operating tools and workshop equipment
n
Supporting fabrication, maintenance, and general workshop duties
n
Maintaining a clean and safe work area
n
Trades Assistant Requirements n
n
Strong mechanical aptitude
n
Ability to work independently and within a team
n
Previous experience as a Trades Assistant, Labourer, or in a similar role
n
Commitment to workplace health & safety with great eye for detail
n




Current driver's licence and reliable transport
n
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
n
Ability to pass a pre‐employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
n
Forklift, EWP, Working at Heights, or Confined Space tickets highly regarded
n
