The opportunity
Are you skilled in gardening, horticulture or turf management.We are looking for reliable and motivated individuals to join ourteam in maintaining the City's parks, reserves, foreshores andgardens.

This recruitment pool will run for a period of twelve (12)months and may be used to fill ongoing fixed term contracts andpermanent opportunities at both the City of Mandurah's OperationsCentre on Park Road and Southern Operations Centre inDawesville.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake horticultural tasks such as weeding, pruning,spraying and rubbish collection.
Undertake mowing tasks such as operating ride on mowers,edgers and whippersnippers.
Ensure all equipment is regularly maintained and in safeworking order.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including theuse of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Work collaboratively with other team members and followdirections from Team Leaders and Supervisors.
Provide positive customer service to the public, ratepayersand internal staff.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A current MR drivers' licence
Two or more years of experience in gardening, landscaping,mowing and using horticultural equipment and machinery tomaintain parks, reserves and turf
Current White Card
Basic Worksite Traffic Management and Traffic ControllerCertificate (desirable)
Chainsaw Certificate (desirable)
A willingness to do physical work outdoors as part of ateam
A strong work ethic and commitment to workplace safety
Excellent time management skills and attention todetail
Certificate II or III in Horticulture or Turf Management(desirable)

*The salary for this role commences at step 1, withpotential for movement within the range based on demonstratedskills and experience.
Incremental progression typically occursat the conclusion of each 12-month period, in accordance withthe Industrial Agreement.
