Chief Pharmacy Information Officer
Full time Temporary with a Possibility of Permanency
Provide leadership, facilitate engagement with, and represent the views of pharmacists and clinical users of medication systems across public hospital and health services in the ACT in relation to the procurement, implementation and use of technology.
Provide skilled leadership for allied health professionals within the Digital Health Group.
Facilitate and manage reporting of system and equipment performance including service logs and issues and ensuring system faults are managed appropriately.
Manage relationships and processes between the team, Pharmacy, vendors, users and other relevant stakeholders in relation to support and maintenance (daily or emergency), implementation of upgrades, new systems, service releases and enhancements, contract negotiation and management.
Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team to deliver client-oriented high-quality services and support and plan, direct and co-ordinate a number of small ICT projects in medication systems and their supporting infrastructure.
Lead or participate in relevant continuous improvement activities, policy development and reviews.
Undertaking other duties as directed, within the approved scope of clinical practice ensuring the delivery of high-quality person and family centred, safe and high-quality patient care.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
Prior to commencement, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
Tertiary qualifications (or equivalent) in Pharmacy
Registered or eligible to register as a Pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority.
Highly desirable:
Minimum of five years of previous experience as a pharmacist in a large acute hospital environment.
Notes:
This is a temporary position available from 19 October **** until 15 November **** with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
