Questions
What is the pay cycle? When will I be paid?
Pay runs fortnightly. Log each session within 24 hours so it can be included correctly.
How come I haven't been paid for my sessions?
Sessions logged after the payroll cut-off may move to the next pay cycle. Ask the team to check.
I realised I logged my session incorrectly. Who should I speak with?
Contact Fora promptly so the team can correct the record.
Who employs the allied health assistants?
Fora employs its Allied Health Assistants directly, rather than engaging them as independent contractors.
Who covers an allied health assistant's insurance?
Fora provides public liability, qualified indemnity and workers compensation insurance.
What is the guaranteed minimum payment for sessions under 2 hours?
Allied Health Assistants receive the minimum session payment for that day. Note writing is added only to sessions of 2 hours or more. Support Worker sessions have a 2-hour minimum.
What are the minimum session durations?
AHA sessions normally have a 1.5-hour minimum. Public holidays and Support Worker sessions have a 2-hour minimum.
How many hours do I need to work per week?
Hours depend on the clients you support. Agree a regular schedule you can reliably maintain.
How can I view my payslips?
Use the payroll access provided during onboarding. Contact Fora if you need help accessing it.
Do I get a break for long shifts?
Fora's published guidance provides a 30-minute unpaid meal break for shifts exceeding five hours. Confirm arrangements before your shift.
Do I get leave entitlements?
Casual employees do not receive paid annual or sick leave. Unpaid carer's and compassionate leave, and paid family and domestic violence leave, are available under the applicable rules. See Fair Work's leave guidance .
Do I need to work on public holidays?
Discuss availability with Fora. You can reasonably refuse a public holiday request; accepted shifts attract the applicable rate.
Who decides how much allied health assistants get paid?
Fora sets its rates subject to applicable award requirements and minimum employment standards.
