The Team
The Mildura Base Public Hospital's (MBPH) Maternity Unit is a progressive unit with a 12 bed Antenatal/Postnatal ward, 4 bed birth-suite (Level 4), Maternity Assessment Unit and a 6 cot Special Care Nursery (Level 3). The service covers the North West region of Victoria and part of NSW. Delivering around 900 births per year, we are supported by the O&G; doctors, a MUM, ANUMs, Midwifery Educator, Clinical Support Midwives and a energetic midwifery team who work within the hospital's HEART values.
The Role
Mildura Base Public Hospital (MBPH) are seeking Registered Nurses with an interest in pursuing Midwifery to apply.
MBPH works in collaboration with Latrobe University to offer the Graduate Diploma of Midwifery through their Bendigo Campus. The course will commence in January **** and runs until end of February ****.
The course is a paid employment FTE and successful applicant will be offered a 12-month contract with the Mildura Base Public Hospital, with the potential for a graduate midwifery position
This a part time (0.8 FTE), fixed term role commencing January **** until February ****
To be successful in this role, you will have
Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
12 months post graduate experience in acute setting
Well-developed assessment skills
In depth ability to apply problem-solving




Demonstrated teamwork skills
