Tallan Group is a growing construction and insurance building repairscompany based in North Lakes. We're looking for an exceptional Senior Estimator, to join our construction team, who can lead strategy, execution
,
manage tenders and mentor a team.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and source key tender opportunities aligned with business strategy, monitor tender portals and submit EOIs.
Prepare and oversee detailed cost estimates, budgets, and submissions.
Develop pricing strategies, including margin and risk analysis.
Prepare tender reports, forecasts, and supporting documentation.
Review contract documentation and lead development of exclusions and clarifications.
Lead commercial negotiations through to project award.
Conduct site inspections and assessments.
Coordinate with safety teams to ensure compliance.
Lead seamless handover to operations teams, providing ongoing support post-award, including variations.
Review team outputs, providing guidance, coaching, and continuous improvement.




Improve estimating systems, processes, and methodologies.
Essential Experience & Skills
Proven experience delivering fully compliant, successful tenders.
Strong background in trade pricing, subcontractor comparison, and procurement engagement.
Minimum 5+ years' experience in construction estimating.
Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor a team.
Advanced written communication skills for qualified proposals.
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation capability.
