We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Childcare Educator to join the team at Bunyip Preschool in Harden, NSW. This is a position where you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and educational support to young children in our service. We have Fulltime and Part time positions available. As a Childcare Educator, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the development and wellbeing of all children in your care. This role is essential to our mission of providing exceptional early childhood education and care services to our local community.
Key responsibilities:
Providing direct care and supervision of children in accordance with legislative requirements and best practice standards
Planning and implementing age-appropriate learning activities and educational programs that support children's development across all learning domains
Maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming learning environment that promotes exploration, creativity and independence
Building positive relationships with children and their families, maintaining open communication regarding children's progress and wellbeing
Observing and assessing children's development and learning to inform programming and identify any areas requiring additional support
Supporting children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development through play-based learning and intentional teaching
Collaborating with colleagues to ensure consistent implementation of policies, procedures and educational approaches
Contributing to a positive team culture
What we're looking for:
Applicants must hold a current Certificate III, Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Bachelor of Education/Teaching. We also welcome applications from anyone who is wanting to start a career in Early Childhood and complete a Traineeship.
First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification,
or willingness to obtain these
Working With Children Check clearance or eligibility to obtain one
Applicants must also hold current Child Protection training and meet all relevant regulatory requirements for working in an Early Childhood Education and Care setting.
Demonstrated understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and how to apply it in practice
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their holistic development
Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality
Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the changing needs of the service and the children in your care
