Job Description
Position Location:
Nearmap is open to considering candidates based in Sydney, Australia willing to split their work time between working remotely and coming into the office in Bangaroo.
About the Role
Reporting to the CHRO, our Regional Leadwillbalance global consistency with local execution.You'llset the agenda for regional policy and bestpractices, andcontribute to our company-wide strategy as a member of our People & Culture SLT. Day to day,you'llbe the go-to for our Australian and Polish employees and managers, providing coaching, guidance and serving as the point person for all employee relations 'llbe a standout project manager, putting your skills to use leading programsthathave a global impact including our ESG teams will also reportintoyou, with dedicated WorkplaceOpsManagers in both locations, helping you to shape our employee experience.You'llpartner closely with ourGlobal Business Partner, People Ops and Talent Acquisition teams,andhave a meaningfulimpact on how our culture and company takes shape as it grows.
Translate global HR strategy into region-specific plans reflecting local market, cultural, and legal context.
Support leaders through advice, coaching, and solutions-focused problem-solving, including coaching managers on relevant employment legislationin Australia and Poland.




Manage performance processes end-to-end(PIPs, probation reviews, exit conversations, etc.)and drive high performance through coaching, feedback, and clear accountability.
Handle complaints, legal, and risk matters including redundancies, providingtimelyandaccurateadvice across diverse People management activities.
Stay current on legislative requirements, policies, and agreements, ensuring full compliance with local laws and company/Code of Conduct guidelines.
Diagnose operational gaps and risks, developing and maintainingourlocalpoliciesand implementingbest practicesthat align with business goals.
Own global programs includingESG strategy asmemberof P&C; SLT.
Partner with People Ops on payroll,onboardingandoffboarding.AnalysePeople metrics and trends (e.g.quarterly onboarding/offboarding data) to inform People strategy anddrive continuous improvements.
Develop our strategy for engagement and culture-building for the regions you support in closepartnershipwith our Workplace ops managers, championingNearmap'sculture and values.

What You'll Bring
10+ yearsas a P&C; Business Partner/HR Manager/Senior HR advisor,with a focus on employee relations,ideally in a fast-paced growth industry.
Solid understanding of Australian employment legislation, with experience managing complex ER issues from identification through resolution.
Proven experience diagnosingorganisationalneeds and rolling out programs that improve capability, performance, and culture.
Strong relationship-buildingand coaching skillsacross diverse stakeholders, balanced with confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
Excellent written, verbal, 'reable to juggle multiple tasks,maintainaccuratedocumentation, and consistently meet deadlines with high attention to detail.
Confident with a wide range of IT systems, including advanced Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to quickly learn current tools.
