Functional Tester 2-Year Fixed-Term Contract | Macquarie Park, Sydney | Hybrid Working
About the role

We're looking for a Functional Tester to join a collaborative delivery team at a leading organisation in the financial space.
You'll play a key role in the testing of a new mobile application, working in an Agile squad environment to ensure new features and functionality meet business requirements and deliver a high-quality user experience.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of your testing activities while contributing to the continuous improvement of testing practices and automation across the organisation.
What you'll be doing
Design, develop and execute manual and automated test cases across functional, integration and regression testing.
Review user stories and acceptance criteria, working with Business Analysts, Product Owners and developers to ensure requirements are clear and testable.
Manage defects from identification through to resolution using Azure DevOps.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.




Contribute to the development and maintenance of test automation frameworks and suites.
Identify testing risks, communicate results and help drive quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.
What we're looking for
5+ years of software testing experience, including at least 2 years working in an Agile setting.
Strong functional testing experience, with exposure to both manual and automated testing.
Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or similar.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A proactive, analytical approach with solid ownership of your work and a continuous improvement mindset.
A degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field, relevant testing certifications, and exposure to financial services regulations are advantageous.
