Compass Group is seeking a dedicated Transport Manager to lead transport operations and ensure the efficient delivery of services at RAAF Base Wagga.
About the Role
As the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of transport operations, ensuring high standards of safety, compliance and operational performance.
You'll lead a team, manage resources, engage with Defence stakeholders and drive continuous improvement across the operation.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee transport operations to ensure protected, efficient and compliant service delivery
Manage vehicle and fleet utilisation to meet operational requirements
Develop and maintain staff rosters aligned with operational needs
Respond to Defence stakeholder enquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally
Monitor operational performance and identify continuous improvement opportunities
Ensure compliance with all transport, safety and legislative requirements
Manage contractor and supplier relationships where required
Prepare and present regular operational and performance reports
About You
Minimum 3 years' experience in a transport,



logistics or fleet management leadership role
Strong understanding of transport operations, compliance and safety requirements
Proven leadership capability with a focus on accountability, safety and continuous improvement
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to operational excellence
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance, including a satisfactory Australian Federal Police check
