WesTrac | Tweed Heads Resident Field Service
Our General Construction team is expanding, and we are seeking
two experienced Plant Mechanics
to join our Resident Field Service team based in the Tweed Heads region.
This is a hands‐on role providing field service support to customers across the Northern Rivers region. You'll utilise your technical expertise to diagnose, maintain and repair Caterpillar construction equipment, delivering exceptional customer service while representing one of the world's most recognised equipment brands.
Working independently, you'll enjoy a diverse workload across a broad range of machinery, including excavators, loaders, skid steers, telehandlers and compactors, while being supported by a highly experienced team behind you.
What You'll Do
Perform servicing, maintenance and repairs on Caterpillar equipment in the field
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
Complete scheduled maintenance and breakdown support
Deliver high-quality customer service and technical support
Maintain accurate service reports and documentation
Uphold WesTrac's commitment to safety and quality
What You'll Bring
Australian recognised trade qualification in Mobile Plant Technology, Heavy Diesel or equivalent
Previous experience working on construction, earthmoving or mobile plant equipment
Robust diagnostic and fault-finding capability
Ability to work autonomously and manage field-based workloads
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Current unrestricted driver's licence
Caterpillar experience and SIS/ET exposure highly regarded
