About the team Payments Data Services The Payments Data Crew designs and delivers modern data products, APIs and platforms that power payment experiences across the bank.
We provide trusted, high-quality payments data through scalable engineering solutions, enabling better customer outcomes, operational excellence and data-driven decision making.
What you'll do As a Staff Software Engineer, you will: Provide technical leadership across squads, setting engineering direction and raising technical standards.
Design,



build and evolve secure, scalable and resilient software platforms.
Lead architecture and design decisions for complex distributed systems.
Drive modernisation initiatives using cloud-native and event-driven architectures.
Champion engineering excellence across software quality, testing, observability, security and operational excellence.
Foster a strong DevSecOps culture by owning solutions end-to-end, from design and development through to deployment, production operations and continuous improvement.
Mentor engineers and help grow technical capability across teams.
Partner closely with Product, Architecture, Security and Operations to deliver meaningful customer outcomes.
Drive adoption of AI-enabled engineering practices, reusable platform capabilities and contemporary software delivery techniques where appropriate.
