About the role:
The Senior Business Continuity Coordinator provides senior specialist expertise and coordination to support the design, maintain and assurance of Health Technology Services' (HTS) disaster recovery and business continuity arrangements, ensuring critical digital health services can continue during and recover from disruptive events.
The role supports organisational resilience by embedding effective continuity planning, testing and recovery practices across HTS‐delivered platforms and services.
The role applies expert knowledge of business continuity, disaster recovery and risk management to review system designs, guide projects and advise stakeholders on fit‐for‐purpose recovery strategies.
Working closely with management, service owners, and risk, emergency management and cyber security functions, the role supports preparedness activities and coordinates advisory and assurance inputs to incident response and recovery activities within HTS.

About you:
Main Accountabilities Include:
* Coordinates the development, maintenance and review of HTS disaster recovery and business continuity documentation to support alignment with departmental frameworks, service levels and statutory obligations.
* Interprets business plans to provide expert advice to projects and service owners, ensuring disaster recovery and continuity arrangements are fit for purpose.
* Builds and maintains effective working relationships with internal teams,



executives and external stakeholders to support business continuity and disaster recovery outcomes.
* Coordinates and assures the periodic testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure compliance with agreed service levels, audit requirements and organisational expectations.
* Acts as a senior specialist in disaster recovery and business continuity, providing expert advice on continuity planning, recovery strategies and resilience measures for digital health services.
Qualification(s)
* Tertiary qualification or relevant study in risk management, business continuity, emergency management, information technology or a related discipline and/or
* Relevant professional training or certifications in business continuity or disaster recovery (for example, BCI CBCI or equivalent), or
* At least 10 years of professional experience in business continuity, disaster recovery or resilience roles within complex service delivery environments.
Specialist Expertise
Mandatory –
* Demonstrated experience contributing to the design, maintenance and assurance of business continuity and disaster recovery arrangements for complex technology‐enabled services, including overseeing backup requirements, backup and restore processes, backup auditing and reporting, and backup infrastructure and software life cycle.
Desirable –
* Experience operating within government or other highly regulated environments, with an understanding of audit, assurance, documentation and escalation requirements.
