About the Role: Join an expanding Regulatory Division within a Federal Government organisation responsible for supporting the integrity of Australia's electoral system.
As an APS6 Investigator, you will lead risk-based investigations into potential regulatory breaches, using data, intelligence and analysis to identify high-risk behaviours and activity.
You will prepare high-quality investigative advice and documentation while contributing to the development and refinement of regulatory processes.
The role also provides an opportunity to guide and support less experienced team members and contribute to broader regulatory priorities.
Responsibilities: Lead risk-based investigations into potential anti-avoidance schemes and regulatory breaches Use data and intelligence to identify high-risk behaviours, entities and schemes Gather, analyse and assess information from a range of sources Prepare high-quality briefs, reports, correspondence and investigation documentation Contribute to the development and refinement of policies, procedures and investigation processes Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members Work collaboratively across the Regulatory Division to progress complex matters About You: Experience in investigations, regulatory compliance, intelligence, audit, assurance or a related environment Strong analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to assess complex information Strong written communication skills and the ability to prepare clear,



well-structured briefs and reports Sound judgement and confidence working with a high degree of autonomy Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities A Certificate IV in Government Investigations or willingness to obtain one would be desirable About the Organisation: The organisation is a Federal Government body responsible for supporting the integrity of Australia's electoral system.
Its Regulatory Division oversees financial disclosure, compliance, investigations and election funding activities, with the team expanding in response to significant changes to federal election funding and disclosure legislation.
The Next Step: To be successful, you must have unrestricted Australian working rights and be able to obtain and hold a Baseline security clearance.
You will also be required to obtain a clear National Police Check and meet the organisation's political neutrality and pre-employment requirements.
