Georgiou is seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor to join our growing NSW Infrastructure business and play a key role in supporting the delivery of critical infrastructure projects across the state.
Based in Newcastle, this role will support both local and regional NSW infrastructure projects, with periodic travel to regional project sites required as part of the role.
This unique opportunity offers exposure to a broad portfolio of civil infrastructure projects across NSW while providing a reliable Newcastle base and long-term career opportunities within a growing business.

About the Role
Reporting to our Project Manager and working closely with our Project Environmental Manager, you will support the successful planning, implementation and monitoring of environmental requirements across a portfolio of NSW infrastructure projects.
Operating within a principal contractor environment, you will provide practical environmental advice to project teams, support environmental compliance, manage monitoring programs and help drive continual improvement across our projects.
Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation and continual improvement of Project Environmental Management Plans and related systems.
Provide practical environmental advice to project supervisors, engineers and construction teams.
Manage environmental monitoring programs including air, noise, vibration, water quality and waste management.
Monitor compliance with environmental licences, permits, approvals and planning conditions.
Conduct environmental inspections, audits and reviews and assist with the investigation and close‐out of incidents.
Deliver toolbox talks,



environmental awareness training and project communications.
Liaise with clients, regulators, subcontractors and stakeholders on environmental matters.
Support environmental reporting and compliance tracking requirements.
Assist project teams in identifying environmental risks and implementing practical solutions.
Your Skills and Experience
You're a proactive environmental qualified who thrives in a project environment and enjoys building strong relationships with operational teams while helping projects achieve positive environmental outcomes.
You'll bring:
Relevant tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
Demonstrated environmental experience within civil construction or infrastructure projects, ideally with a principal contractor.
Strong understanding of environmental compliance, approvals, permits and monitoring requirements.
Working knowledge of ISO ***** and applicable Commonwealth and State environmental legislation.
Experience implementing Environmental Management Plans and environmental monitoring programs.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to provide practical, solutions‐focused advice to project teams.
Current Driver's Licence and White Card.
Experience on major roads, bridges, water, utilities or civil infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.
