A day in the life of a RAES Employment Consultant can include:
* Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments of participant skills, education, vocational interests, job readiness, and personal circumstances
* Co-design individualised job plans and regularly review and update to reflect changes in participant circumstances, community priorities, and labour market opportunities
* Provide culturally appropriate and holistic support to participants
* Assist participants to access allied health, housing, financial, disability, and other wraparound services
* Support participants to engage in training, employment placements, and community projects
* Build strong relationships with local employers
* Work with employers to support culturally safe workplaces that encourage retention of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees
* Collaborate with Community Advisory Boards (CABs), community organisations, and other stakeholders to ensure service delivery reflects local priorities and aspirations
* Contribute to the design and delivery of community projects that support workforce participation and skill development
Skills and Experience




* Demonstrated experience in case management, employment services, or community development
* Knowledge of the Remote Australia Employment Services (RAES) program
* Strong understanding of referral pathways and the ability to connect participants with allied health, community, and specialist services
* Proven ability to work effectively and respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, families, and communities, with an understanding of culturally safe service delivery
* High-level organisational, administrative, and data management skills
* Competence in using employment services systems (such as ESS Web or equivalent), with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to IT and reporting requirements

* Have full working rights in Australia
* Have a current driver's licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle

* Ability to work Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 5:00pm
