ASKIN Performance Panels is looking for a hands-on Door Maker to join our manufacturing team at Carole Park.
This is a practical manufacturing role where you will be responsible for accurately measuring, cutting, assembling and finishing insulated cold-room, freezer and specialised doors.
You'll work with insulated panels, aluminium and steel components, door hardware, seals and associated fittings to produce quality finished products that meet our drawings, specifications and production requirements.

About the Role
Reporting to the Door Coordinator, you will work as part of our manufacturing team to produce insulated doors accurately, safely and efficiently.
Your day-to-day work will include:
Manufacturing and assembling cold-room, freezer, insulated and specialised doors.
Measuring, marking and cutting insulated panels, aluminium, sheet metal and other components.
Assembling door frames, door leaves and associated components.
Fitting hinges, handles, latches, closers, seals, gaskets and other hardware.
Installing heated door frames, wiring and associated components where required and where appropriately trained.
Applying sealants, adhesives and protective finishes.
Checking finished doors are square, aligned, correctly sealed and operate as required.
Reading and following drawings, measurements,



job sheets and work instructions.
Using hand tools, power tools, machinery and equipment safely.
Assisting with repairs, modifications and rectification work when required.
Completing allocated work within production timeframes.
Keeping your work area clean, secure and organised.
Identifying and communicating quality, material or production issues.
Working with Production, Stores, Despatch and other team members to keep jobs moving.
Contributing ideas to improve safety, quality, efficiency and product consistency.
What We're Looking For
You don't need to have made insulated doors before. We are looking for someone with practical hands-on experience who is confident working with tools, materials and measurements.
You will ideally have:
Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, carpentry or a similar hands-on role.
Good ability to measure, mark, cut and assemble materials accurately.
Experience using hand and power tools.
Ability to read and follow drawings, measurements, job sheets and instructions.
Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
A good understanding of workplace safety.
A reliable and hardworking approach.
Ability to work independently while also being part of a team.
A willingness to learn ASKIN's products and manufacturing processes.
