Central Intake Officer
Part Time
On-going
6 days per fortnight / 48 hours per fortnight
About The Role
The Central Intake Officer is responsible for the facilitation of a seamless referral intake process for consumers accessing outpatient services within Primary Health and Specialist Consulting Clinics at Kyabram District Health Service. The Central Intake Officer is also responsible for the intake processes of the Referrals fax/email and the Community Health Reception Kyabram email accounts.
The Central Intake Officer operates in an setting characterised by the need to be customer focused with a strong emphasis on the philosophy of person-centered care. As the initial contact for many entering our Health Service, the Central Intake Officer will provide the "Image" of what Kyabram Health stands for and our values of Empathy, Wellbeing and Community.
As a member of the Client Services Team, the appointee will contribute to the overall performance of the team consistent with Kyabram District Health Service Purpose, Vision and Values.
About You
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with a commitment to customer service.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure while managing time effectively to complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
Demonstrated ability to operate with minimal supervision and show high levels of initiative whilst understanding limitations to Scope of Practice.




Excellent skills in the use of Microsoft Office products and the ability to work with multiple software programs.
Demonstrated ability to maintain strict information Privacy (Confidentiality)
High level communication and interpersonal skills that support and enhance positive relationships
Ability to communicate, support and facilitate ease of access to services for all clients regardless of age, culture or ability.
Desirable
Experience in i.Patient Management System (IPM)
Experience in Regional Community Platform (RCP)
