Full-Time or Casual Chef - Alex Surf Club
Alex Surf Club is going from strength to strength, and with some of the best ocean views of any workplace on the Sunshine Coast, we are looking for an experienced Full-Time or Casual Chef to join our growing kitchen team.
We are a busy, fast-paced venue with a strong team culture, operating across our Bistro, Bluff Bar and Seaside Cafe. With continued growth across the Club, this is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a supportive team and takes pride in producing quality food.
About the Role
Working as part of our kitchen team, your duties will include:
Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality meals
Working across different sections of the kitchen, depending on your experience
Maintaining excellent food quality, presentation and portion control
Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements
Assisting with stock rotation, storage and wastage control
Supporting the Head Chef and wider kitchen team with smooth day-to-day operations
Preparing meals to meet dietary requirements where required
Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient work area
Contributing ideas and supporting seasonal menu changes where appropriate
About You
We would love to hear from you if you:
Have experience working as a Chef in a busy kitchen environment




Take pride in the quality and presentation of your food
Work well as part of a team
Have strong time management and organisational skills
Can remain calm and organised during busy service periods
Have a good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene
Are reliable, positive and willing to learn
Candidates with different levels of experience will be considered. Whether your strength is grill and pans, pizzas and burgers, or all-round kitchen work, we would love to hear from you.
