This is a full-time, contract prospect to be part of a values-led organisation committed to making a real difference in the lives of children and families.

About the Role
Provide high-quality, voluntary, family-focused case management to children, young people and families experiencing vulnerability.
Deliver short-term Family Connect and Support (FCS) services, including assessment, limited case management and goal-focused support.
Connect families to appropriate community and specialist services through referrals to support safe, positive family environments.
Monitor child protection concerns, consult with Program Manager and act in accordance with the appropriate State legislation, Mandatory Reporting Guides and Barnardos Australia Safeguarding Policies and Procedures.
Maintain written and electronic records in accordance with Barnardos policies and -procedures and any external requirements.
You'll join a collaborative and supportive team delivering high-quality, trauma-informed services that uphold child safety, cultural safety, and family-led practice.
Skills and Experience
Tertiary qualification in social Work, Psychology or social Welfare related discipline.
Knowledge of child protection dynamics and client vulnerabilities such as domestic violence, drug and alcohol use, mental health issues and the impact of trauma.
Demonstrated experience and skills in building rapport with families to support change.
Demonstrated experience and skills in assessment of families' needs.
Demonstrated experience and skills in the provision of information and referrals to support families' wellbeing.
Demonstrated ability to work respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and communities, including a strong understanding of cultural safety, self-determination,
and the historical and contemporary factors that impact Aboriginal peoples.
What's on Offer
Base salary: $80,015- $88,003 per annum (pro rata, if applicable) + 12% superannuation
Salary packaging: Up to $15,860 tax-free (general living expenses)
Meal & entertainment packaging: Additional $2,650 tax-free per FBT year
