Demo Site Supervisor - Northern Territory
Thinking about your next career move? Maybe it's time to make it a lifestyle move as well.
McMahon Services is growing our operations in the Northern Territory, and we're looking for experienced Site Managers and Supervisors who are open to relocating to Darwin and becoming part of our local team.
This isn't a FIFO role. It's an opportunity to live and work in Darwin, build a long-term career with McMahon Services and enjoy everything that comes with life in the Top End.
Think warm weather, shorter commutes, weekends spent fishing, boating, camping or exploring the national parks, and a relaxed outdoor lifestyle — while still taking on challenging projects and continuing to develop your construction career.
We're particularly keen to speak with Civil Site Managers and Supervisors, as well as people with experience across demolition, remediation, asbestos or hazardous materials.
You don't need to be a specialist across every area. If you're a strong site leader who knows how to manage people, plan works, coordinate resources and deliver projects safely, we'd like to talk.
Relocation assistance can be discussed for suitable interstate candidates.
About McMahon Services
McMahon Services is one of Australia's largest privately owned construction, industrial and environmental services organisations, employing more than 1,300 people across Australia.
Our teams deliver projects across civil infrastructure, demolition, remediation, asbestos and hazardous materials removal, industrial and construction services.
Our Northern Territory operations provide opportunities to work across a diverse range of projects and environments, with the support of an established national business behind you.
About the Role
Based permanently in Darwin, you'll take responsibility for the safe and efficient day-to-day delivery of projects across our NT operations.
Depending on the project, your work could include civil construction, earthworks, infrastructure, demolition, remediation, asbestos and hazardous materials works.
You'll coordinate crews, subcontractors, plant, equipment and resources while working closely with Project Managers and operational leaders to keep projects moving.
We're deliberately keeping the candidate pool broad.
A Civil Site Manager ready for a lifestyle change and a new project environment.
An experienced Civil Supervisor looking to take the next step.
A Site Manager or Supervisor with demolition or remediation experience.
Someone with experience across asbestos or hazardous materials.
A construction leader who has worked across several of these areas.
What matters most is your ability to lead people, take ownership of site delivery and create a safe, productive and positive site environment.

What You'll Do
Take ownership of day-to-day site delivery across civil, demolition and remediation projects.
Lead and coordinate crews, subcontractors and multiple work fronts.
Plan and sequence upcoming construction activities.
Coordinate plant, labour, equipment and project resources.
Monitor programme, productivity, quality and project requirements.
Lead pre-starts, toolbox meetings and daily site coordination.
Review drawings, scopes, methodologies and project documentation.
Identify constructability issues, changing site conditions and project risks.
Maintain site records, diaries and reporting.
Support management of delays, variations and resource requirements.
Ensure SWMS, risk assessments and project safety controls are implemented.
Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.
Mentor and develop Supervisors, Leading Hands and site crews.
Lead by example and maintain a positive, accountable and safety-focused culture.
What You'll Bring
Previous experience as a Site Manager, Site Supervisor, Civil Supervisor, Foreman or similar construction leader.
Strong experience across civil construction, infrastructure, demolition, remediation and/or hazardous materials environments.
Demonstrated ability to lead people and coordinate site delivery.
Strong construction planning and sequencing capability.
Experience managing subcontractors, crews, plant and resources.
Ability to manage multiple work fronts and changing priorities.
Solid safety and quality focus.
Practical problem-solving and decision-making capability.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Construction White Card.
Current Driver's Licence.
A positive, accountable and team-focused leadership style.
Willingness to relocate to Darwin and become part of our local NT team.
What Will Set You Apart
Strong Civil Site Management or supervision experience.
Earthworks, drainage, utilities or infrastructure experience.
Experience working within complex, live or high-risk construction environments.
Strong commercial and programme awareness.
Client-facing and stakeholder management experience.
Experience mentoring and developing site teams.
CPCCDE**** – Supervise operational activities on demolition sites.
Relevant plant or high-risk work tickets.

Demolition and asbestos experience and qualifications are highly regarded but not essential. We don't want to rule out strong civil construction leaders who have the right management capability and are keen to broaden their experience.
