Homelessness Brief Intervention Worker
Lawnton & Redcliffe | Full Time | SCHADS Level 4.1 | $***** per hour + Salary Packaging
Fixed Term until 29 June **** | Shifts 8AM-4PM & 12PM-8PM Weekly Rotation
Every day, you can change someone's story.
Every day across Moreton Bay, individuals, families, older people, young people and children are experiencing homelessness, sleeping rough, living in unsafe conditions, or facing the reality of losing their homes.
At Encircle, we are meeting people at some of the hardest moments of their lives and helping them find a path forward.
This isn't a desk-based role.
This is real-world, frontline work that puts you at the forefront of one of the most significant social issues facing Australia today.
Armed with your compassion, resilience, practical problem-solving skills and determination, you'll help connect people with the services, housing pathways and support they need to regain stability and hope.

All we need you to bring is your passion for helping people and the ability to stay calm and focused when things get tough.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
This is
not a long-term case management role.
Instead, you'll provide
brief intervention support
.
That means you'll work with people at critical moments to:
Assess their immediate needs
Help stabilise their situation
Provide practical support and information
Connect them to housing and specialist services
Advocate when barriers arise
Help them take the next step toward safety, stability and housing
No two days are the same.
In This Role You Will
Undertake outreach across the Moreton Bay region.
Meet with people experiencing homelessness or housing stress.
Assist individuals and families to access housing options.
Provide practical support, advocacy and referrals.
Work collaboratively with housing providers, government agencies and community services.
Build trust quickly with people experiencing crisis and disadvantage.
Maintain accurate client records and reporting requirements.

You understand that every person deserves dignity, respect and the prospect to rebuild their life.
Essential Requirements
Certificate IV or higher in Community Services, Human Services, Social Work or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience supporting vulnerable individuals or families.
Experience in homelessness, housing, outreach, crisis support, community services or related sectors.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Current Queensland Driver Licence.
Blue Card (or ability to obtain).
National Criminal History Check (or ability to obtain).
