Role Description
The Team Leader is a full-time, hybrid role based in Cairns, QLD, with a mix of on-site work and some work from home as appropriate. This position oversees day-to-day operations for a crew, including planning tasks, allocating resources, and ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and to quality standards. Responsibilities include supervising team members on-site, providing guidance and coaching, monitoring safety practices, and coordinating materials, equipment, and subcontractors as needed. The Team Leader communicates regularly with clients and internal stakeholders, prepares progress updates, and resolves issues that may arise during project delivery. The role also involves supporting process improvements,



documenting project activities, and contributing to a positive, respectful work culture.
Qualifications
Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities, including experience supervising staff or coordinating project teams.
Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
Experience in landscaping, construction, facilities, or a related field; practical knowledge of outdoor project work is highly beneficial.
Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
Comfort using basic digital tools (email, project tracking, documentation) to coordinate hybrid in office and work-from-home activities.
Ability to work in varying outdoor conditions and perform hands-on tasks when required.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to job sites in and around Cairns, QLD.
Formal training or certification in supervision, project management, landscaping, or a related discipline is an advantage but not mandatory.
