The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join a large, highly regarded privately owned organisation on a 15-month fixed-term contract providing maternity leave cover.
Working as part of a collaborative and supportive finance team, this role will suit an experienced AP professional who enjoys taking ownership of their workload and working in a hands-on environment. The successful candidate will also play an important role in supporting the team through a D365 transition, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to process improvements and systems optimisation.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced AP skilled looking to join a reputable organisation for a 15-month period, while gaining exposure to a significant systems transition.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the responsibilities will involve but not be limited to:
Managing the end-to-end accounts payable function
Managing a volume of ***** invoices daily, with components of manual data entry
Setting up and maintaining existing suppliers and reconciling supplier statements when required
Preparing weekly and monthly payment runs and completing ad hoc payments when required
Performing bank reconciliations, monthly credit card reconciliations, and monitoring daily cash flow
Supporting the team through the transition to D365 and assisting with process improvements
Working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve queries and ensure timely payments
Assisting with ad hoc finance tasks as required
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
3-5+ years of experience in an end-to-end accounts payable position
Process improvement mindset and ability to take ownership of workload
Experience working in a complex processing environment
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
Strong communication skills, with confidence liaising with both internal and external stakeholders
Experience with D365, or exposure to a similar ERP system, will be highly regarded
Full Australian working rights and comfortable committing to a 15-month fixed-term contract
Availability to commence mid-late October
