Shura is seeking an experienced
Lead Technical Business Analyst
to support a major
Identity and Access Management (IAM) modernisation program
within a Federal Government department.
The program will modernise enterprise identity and access management capabilities, transitioning from legacy identity technologies to a contemporary, cloud-ready architecture centred on
Microsoft Entra ID
.
The successful candidate will work closely with business, architecture, cyber security, engineering, operations and delivery teams to analyse complex identity requirements and support the transition to modern IAM capabilities.
In this role you will perform the following tasks but not limited to:
Lead
requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation and validation
across complex ICT and IAM initiatives, including discovery sessions and stakeholder workshops.
Develop
current and future-state process models
covering identity lifecycle and
Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML)
processes.
Analyse
access requests, approvals, provisioning, deprovisioning, reconciliation, identity/workforce data flows, integrations and authoritative sources
.
Develop
business and functional requirements, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, business rules and requirements traceability
, identifying opportunities for automation and standardisation.
Translate requirements across
business, architecture, engineering and cyber security teams
, supporting UAT, implementation, business readiness, training and transition to BAU.
To be successful, you will have
5+ years' Technical Business Analysis experience
, including demonstrated experience delivering
Identity and Access Management (IAM)
initiatives within Government or a large, complex ICT environment.
Strong experience with
identity lifecycle and Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) processes
, including access requests, approvals, provisioning, deprovisioning and identity governance.
Experience working with
Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD and up-to-date IAM capabilities
; exposure to MIM, AD FS, SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, PAM/PIM or similar technologies is highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience analysing
identity/workforce data flows, authoritative data sources, system integrations and dependencies
, and translating these into business, functional and technical requirements.
Strong experience facilitating
IAM discovery workshops and stakeholder engagement
across business, cyber security, architecture and technical teams, including process modelling, user stories, acceptance criteria, UAT and transition to BAU.
Baseline security clearance.
Location:
Canberra, ACT – hybrid working arrangements. Candidates must be Canberra-based or able to routinely attend the Canberra office; fly-in/fly-out arrangements are not suitable.
