Take Ownership of Your Territory. Build Something Bigger.
Join Fork Force Australia, one of Australia's largest independent forklift companies and part of the global Nishio Rent All Group.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Territory Technician to take ownership of our Mackay region.
This is not your typical technician role.
You will be the key person responsible for supporting our customers, maintaining, and repairing equipment, managing the presentation and readiness of our rental fleet, conducting machine pre-deliveries, and helping grow our presence throughout the region.
This position offers a rare chance for someone who enjoys independence, responsibility, and autonomy. You'll effectively manage your own territory while having the support of a national business behind you.
If you're looking for more than just another service technician role and want the opportunity to make a genuine impact, we'd like to hear from you.
What's On Offer?
Competitive hourly rate based on skills and experience
Regular overtime opportunities with strong earning potential
Fully maintained company vehicle
Mobile phone and tablet provided
Variety of work across multiple industries and equipment types
The opportunity to take ownership of a territory and help grow the business
About the Role
As the Senior Territory Technician, you will be responsible for all aspects of equipment support within the Mackay region.
Your role will include:
Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
Carrying out breakdown repairs and emergency response work
Servicing forklifts and materials handling equipment
Performing major repairs and component replacements
Conducting preventative maintenance and safety inspections
Preparing and maintaining rental fleet equipment to company standards

Fitting and commissioning attachments and accessories as required
Managing machine presentation and fleet readiness
Completing service documentation and job records
Building strong customer relationships across the region
Working independently to plan and manage your daily workload
Supporting the continued growth of the Mackay territory
No two days are the same. One day you may be preparing rental equipment for delivery, the next carrying out major repairs, fault-finding customer equipment, or commissioning a new machine for a customer.
What We're Looking For
We are interested in speaking with technicians from a range of backgrounds, including:
Forklift Technicians
Heavy Vehicle Mechanics
Auto Electricians
Automotive Technicians looking to transition into mobile equipment
To be successful, you will ideally have:
A trade qualification in Mobile Plant, Diesel Mechanics, Heavy Vehicle, Automotive or a related field
Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical diagnostic skills
Experience carrying out repairs and maintenance on mobile equipment
The ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
