About the role

The Legal Officer IV provides legal/policy advice in respect of all aspects of the State Health portfolio including, as required, prepare and advise upon contracts and agreements; conduct of legislative projects and prepare subordinate legislation; and instruct in/conduct of litigation involving the Health portfolio.
What you will be doing
You will be working in a fast-paced environment dealing with a diverse range of legal issues.
In this role you will assist in the management of legal claims that are significant legal matters which include coronial and civil proceedings, provide professional legal advice on a range of matters including contractual, legislative, employment and medico legal matters.
You will manage a high and diverse workload, deal with a large volume of ad hoc, urgent requests for advice and conduct multiple matters simultaneously.
About you
Legal qualifications, admission as a legal practitioner to the Supreme Court of NSW and a current practising certificate from the NSW Law Society.
The ability to exercise professional judgement, provide legal advice while working in a small dynamic team environment
Excellent communication, interpersonal and prioritisation skills
The ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
A growth mindset, and commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
