Business Overview
Our client is an established Australian B2B SaaS business with more than 30 years of history and a strong market position. It works with a large base of customers, from emerging businesses to national enterprise groups, and around 90% of its revenue is recurring. After recent private equity investment and a refreshed executive team, the business is entering its next phase of growth. That includes expanding in the UK, launching new products and growing recurring revenue across its existing customer base. As part of this, it is investing heavily in its commercial and marketing capability, with a clear ambition to build an AI‐first marketing function.
The Role
This is a rare opportunity to build a marketing function with AI at its core. You'll design and build a team of AI agents to support delivery, with AI embedded across marketing activities and outputs. You'll rethink how marketing is structured, how work gets done and where human judgement adds the most value. Starting with the business strategy, customer segments and commercial priorities, you'll identify the activities that will make the greatest contribution to growth. You'll then build the agents, systems and workflows to deliver them across segmentation, demand generation, content, personalisation, sales enablement and reporting. You'll set the direction, coordinate your AI team and remain accountable for quality and commercial results, creating a scalable marketing model across Australia and the UK.
Reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing, this is a standalone role combining strategic ownership with hands‐on execution. Marketing has historically been lean and execution-focused, giving you the freedom to challenge existing approaches and build the foundations for growth. You'll present plans and results to the executive team and Board.

It suits a marketing leader who is comfortable delivering as an individual contributor and building capability through AI agents.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and own the marketing strategy across Australia and the UK, and report on performance and commercial outcomes to the executive team and Board.
Design an AI‐first marketing operating model by mapping key marketing activities against business strategy, customer segments and commercial priorities. Then build the AI‐enabled systems, workflows and processes to deliver them.
Use AI to sharpen segmentation and personalisation, so messaging and campaigns are tailored to priority customers and accounts.
Build and run an account‐based marketing program that targets executive decision‐makers within a clearly defined set of key accounts.
Drive demand generation and pipeline, using AI‐enabled workflows to scale activity across multiple markets.
Lead go‐to‐market for new products and platform enhancements, working closely with Product, Engineering and Sales on positioning, messaging and launch plans.
Create thought leadership, customer case studies and content that strengthen brand positioning and support SEO and AI search visibility.
Build AI‐supported sales enablement and customer marketing programs that support acquisition, adoption, retention, cross‐sell and upsell.
Own HubSpot strategy and optimisation, including automation, lead scoring, lead management and reporting,

and integrate AI into the marketing technology stack.
Establish automated, insight‐driven reporting and analytics that give clear visibility of campaign performance and commercial impact.
Manage external agencies, contractors and partners across Australia and the UK.
Must Haves
Robust marketing experience in a B2B SaaS business. This is essential.
Genuine curiosity about how AI can fundamentally reshape marketing. You should have hands‐on experience building AI‐enabled workflows, processes or systems, not just using AI for content.
A strategic, commercially minded approach, with the confidence to challenge how marketing operates and design a better model.
Proven experience in ABM, product marketing and go‐to‐market, demand generation, and thought leadership or content strategy.
Hands‐on HubSpot experience, including marketing automation, lead scoring and campaign performance reporting.
Experience working closely with sales, product and customer success teams to drive pipeline, product adoption and expansion revenue.
Confidence presenting marketing strategy and results at executive level, ideally in a PE‐backed or similarly accountable environment.
A track record of building scalable processes and frameworks from scratch, and comfort working autonomously in an evolving business.
